Starhotels Castille wrote down a list of the must-dos in Paris in wintertime, to get a real feel of the city’s warm atmosphere even when it’s cold outside.

Ice-Skating. Whether you’re a professional or amateur ice-skater, try to perform a few pirouettes on the outdoor skating rink opposite the Hotel de Ville. Admission is free of charge.

Christmas Markets. The best ones are at the Jardins du Trocadéro, at the foot of the Tour Eiffel, and beneath the Grand Arche at La Défense. Have your fill of crêpes and vin brûlé!

Christmas markets are open from November 2016 through January 2017.

The Shopping Passages. Worth visiting are the Galerie Vivienne, with its antique book shop (Librairie Jousseaume) and the Jean Paul Gaultier boutique amid tea rooms and art galleries, and the famous Passage du Grand-Cerf.

The Christmas Tree at Notre Dame. Besides admiring the Tree with its sparkling decorations, you can walk inside the Cathedral and enjoy the Christmas music.

The Ferris Wheel. There’s no better place than the Grande Roue of Place de la Concorde to get a full view of the city’s Christmas decorations 65 meters from the ground. Great fun for children and adults alike.
